RadioX is a radio player for the Mac that lives in the menu bar. One click on the icon opens the player, and more than 90,000 stations from around the world are at hand: alternative, electronic and metal, jazz and classical music, news and talk radio, in dozens of languages.
The app stays out of the way. There is no window to keep open: the current track scrolls right in the menu bar, and the media keys work as usual.

Version history
Last.fm
• Tracks are scrobbled on their own: a track that played for at least 30 seconds goes to Last.fm with the time it started, and your profile shows what is playing right now.
Artwork
• When the track has no artwork, the player shows the station logo instead of an empty placeholder.
• Your own stations show their own artwork, and a collage built from a folder of album covers now comes in a square version for the player.
Alternative player
• Switching stations quickly no longer lets an old station take over or start reconnecting.
• Fixed a crash when switching stations.
• A station that does not answer gives up after 10 seconds instead of 30 and no longer holds up the next one.
Recording
• With the alternative player the recording matches what you hear, in any stream format, HLS and FLAC included.
• With the other players, HLS streams and .m3u/.pls playlists are recorded as audio instead of saving the playlist file.
• Recordings no longer stay behind as hidden .part files.
Also
• A choice of server in Settings: main or backup, for when the main one cannot be reached.
• Favorites scroll to the station that is playing.
• Updated translations.
